The photographs give a stark and moving insight into the state of the world's great forests and offer us a time for reflection. "Photographic images can tell a compelling story about the truth of the situation, and the truth is that if we lose the fight against tropical deforestation, then we lose the fight against climate change," said HRH The Prince of Wales in an address to the Sony World Photography Awards.

The images from the Amazon, Democratic Republic of Congo and Indonesia will be on display at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (Nash Conservatory) from 3rd October to 6th December.

They will also be on show in the Hotel de Ville, Paris from 3rd October to 14th October and the Alexa Centre in Berlin from 27th October to 7th November.
