USA: New logo for Conservation International
10.09.09
Conservation International (CI), one of the world's largest and most influential conservation organisations, launched a new logo this week reflecting their modern global sustainability ambitions.
Founded in 1987 to work with communities to protect habitats in tropical countries in recent times CI's mission, vision and strategy have all changed, so with that must come a new logo.
The old logo, much loved by CI supporters, is a simplistic representation of these values, but in today's sleek marketing world it, perhaps, has begun to look cluttered and dated.
The new logo then represents is a radical change. Peter Seligmann, Chairman and CEO of CI said of it this week:
"Our new logo represents our new mission and strategy, and - most importantly - our vision of a healthy blue planet supported by a sustainable green development path."
