The blue flowers of cornflower (Centaurea cyanus) poke through a grain field among ox-eye daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare). Cornflower is a native British wildflower that was common in agricultural fields (hence its name) but now wild populations are severely threatened by herbicide use.
